There they go again.
If you haven’t already heard, Democratic legislators have introduced a bill that would dilute the taxpayer protections found in Proposition 13—the voter-approved and consistently popular ballot measure that has limited property tax increases.
Their proposal would call for a “split-roll”, which means that commercial properties would be exempt from Proposition 13 protection. The result would be significant property tax increases.
Just what California needs: another tax increase on businesses.
It’s unacceptable. We need to do everything in our power to keep businesses open in California – not give them another roadblock to success.
Fortunately, Democrats in the legislature will need a 2/3 vote in both the Senate and the Assembly in order to put this proposal on the ballot for voter approval. In order to do so, they’ll need Republicans to vote for the proposal.
Please add your name to this list demanding that my fellow Republicans stand strong and hold the line against this proposed tax increase.

Since when did the Democrats become the slave masters and we became their slaves? This states needs more educated people. This state needs to create jobs. This state needs to close the borders and quit pandering to the same forces that are destroying this state. We are rich in gas and oil and should explore our God given recourses. Lets quit grasping for the pie in the sky called clean energy. Whenever I hear GREEN from the communist/environmentalists I see RED. Liberals are like watermelons, green on the outside and red on the inside. California has been on the downslide since Gov. [email protected]#[email protected] took over. Since the liberals have so much money I think they should share it with the rest of us ‘cause we ain’t got none.
